So it's been forever. No particular comments to make about that; I just don't spend as much time online as I used to. For the last few months, I've been loosely following daily months, some months moreso than others. I thought I'd break silence here and just post the few fanfiction writings that have cropped up. There's not a great deal, and it's not all amazingly good or long, but I kind of felt like putting it up.

I've been doing a lot of writing and development work lately, though some of that development is for more productive projects than others. XD Anyway, here they are; I'm alive; etc etc.

Fandom: Fushigi Yuugi
Character: Miboshi
Warnings: Disjointed violence
Comments: Miboshi's first spiritual transfer. This is the fic I wanted to write in a much longer form, but for which I could never get the midget to cooperate with me.

Comments: I like some of the phrasing in here, but I think some of it devolves into cliche. I just wrote it today, so I don't think my opinion is settled.

Toying about with new journal styles. I haven't changed my layout or default icon or bio virtually since I started this thing, but I'm feeling...not out of sorts, really, but a bit far-off today. I feel like I need more to do with my time, but that I shouldn't occupy myself too much until my life settles around some proper income so I can pay my bills. I'm feeling a bit of a drifter, perhaps not quite secure. The new user info and page title are therefore a little bit distant. We'll see if that lasts past my employment (which will hopefully come soon) and gaining of a bit more energy.

Ah, well. I'm off to hunt for a few more icons to fill up the slots I'm allowed. *uses nifty new default icon of a character who, the silly doofus that he is, doesn't get enough love in his fandom*

I've been wanting to spread some music around for ages and have pretty much just been looking for an excuse. Snagged from kuchenhexe. Reply and I'll give you a letter and you have to find ten songs that start with that letter and post them to your journal.

EYESHIELD 21 IS GOING TO KILL ME. Following the Japanese releases one chapter at a time is seriously going to destroy me. Oh god, don't let this be the end, please, not against them, any team but them THEY CAN'T LOSE TO THIS TEAM PLEASE NO. A penalty flag, another play, oh god, ANYTHING AT ALL OH PLEASE.

Double chapter release next week, which is...hopefully a good sign. But I don't know if I can make it a week. *weeps and gnaws fingernails in agitation*

So I'm safe in to Tennessee, and my goodness this state is pretty. Nice weather for the middle of July, a swimming pool, my own room... Just lovely.

But on a more inspired note, I saw POTC Dead Man's Chest for the second time today, and it seemed as good a subject to update my LJ with as any.

Abjectly worksafe, if somewhat unseasonal. You only think you've seen what Christmas lights can do. There's another one here.

So looks like we're leaving for Tennessee (the final location picked, rather than North Carolina) Thursday. Holy crap there's still a lot of packing to do before then. I kinda wish Wednesday wasn't my last day at work so I could help for more of it. Most everything is boxed, but there's still all that, you know, stray stuff sitting around, to say nothing of the contents of the kitchen, the food that can be kept, and all the dishes. Where are they going to find enough boxes?! We need more boxes! More boxes! @_@

Man, moving a house is crazy; I've only ever moved the contents of my room before. Poor Bomber-kun about died today--just him and two other guys to cart all of the furniture around.

So a friend and I were talking at work tonight about Hiruma and the Devil Bats and certain psychological conditions, and then this struck, complete with title, and I knew I had to write it as soon as I got home.

My first attempt at Eyeshield 21 fic, quickly written pretty much as it came. No particular warnings or spoilers or pairings; just Mamori musing about Hiruma and the state of the team. Set post-Death March, and after a particular plot event, but only one I've heard about, not one I've actually read, so heck if I know what chapter it's for.
